Danique van Beelen

Hi everyone! I am Danique van Beelen. In the coming academic year I will take on the position of Secretary & Student Relations. This year I will therefore be the point of contact for students and the medium between the RECG and students.

Perhaps a little too stuck to the countryside (yes, my thesis was also about it), I left the meadows of the ‘Drenthe Highlands’ behind me after years and came to live in Groningen in 2016. Here I started the bachelor Human Geography & Urban and Regional Planning. In the meantime my interest in real estate has grown more and more. And now, more than 3 years later, I started the Research Master in Spatial Sciences with a specialization in Real Estate Studies.

A position within RECG was a great opportunity to work on more practical experience in addition to my master’s degree and to gradually meet people with similar interests. In addition, this coming year is also a special year for the RECG: the first lustrum year! I look forward to a year with new experiences and great events, where we have extra reason to celebrate.
