Real Estate Centre

The Real Estate Center (REC) is the Expertise Center of the University of Groningen that focuses on economic analyzes of real estate. REC deals with real estate issues integrating economics and geography with knowledge about local institutions. Research is carried out at different levels: microbehavior of households and investors, market analyzes and macro studies that link global issues with local markets.

The REC is part of the Department of Economic Geography, located in one of the world’s top schools in regional science. The center was established in 2015 to further initiate and coordinate academic research in real estate and to develop relationships between university and industry.
